Everyone remembers his or her first guitar. Did yours once belong to your parents or a friend? Was it acoustic or electric? Do you remember the first song you ever learned to play on the guitar? Did you learn how to play your guitar on your own, or did you take a class?

There are so many memories that many of us associate with our first guitar. Some memories may include serenading (or at least trying to serenade) a crush or singing with kids around the campfire. Whether you have set that guitar down forever or have simply moved onto better guitars, your first guitar likely still holds a special place in your heart.

The first guitar you ever owned is like your first girlfriend or boyfriend. Learning how to play your first song on the guitar is like learning how to kiss. These are simply things that you do not forget! Your guitar is a part of your own personal history!
